Mothers Day in Sweden
...today. An old postcard with a painting by Jenny Nyström.
Last weekend we went to a nature reserve a couple of miles from here (Herrefalls äng, Hallsberg) to search for Snake's head, Fritillaria meleagris, but it was way too late. But we saw a lot of other beauties, they are at my Flickr

Kirar
My husband has built an electric kirar (krar), also known as King Davids Harp in the Bible. It has been used for over 3000 years and people still play on this kind of instrument in East Africa.
He has never seen a kirar in real life, so it was a challenge, but it turned out very well! You can see a bigger picture at "all sizes" here.
It's an Eritrean guy in Gothenburg who ordered that kirar and he will get it at the FUZZ Guitar Show on Saturday.
Look at these wonderful girls: Tegadelti Bana Band from Eritrea; there you can see one of them play the kirar (electric).
