Straw work
Been to a workshop in traditional Swedish straw work. Made some items to Christmas.
This one is named "Gällerstastjärnan" (star from Gällersta - a small village outside Örebro).

A fluffy guy
has been staying in my freezer for at least a week...just in case.
I found him at my favorite charity shop for only 35 SEK and I couldn't just leave him there. I wonder where he comes from?
I've been searching in my 'Bible', Pauline Cockrill's "The Teddy Bear Encyclopedia", but there is no such teddybear.

Minime
I just want to share a picture from my childhood.
It's 1962; me, nearly 5 and my brother 1½ years. We lived in a small industrial community, Lesjöfors. Dad worked in a 'valsverk' (rolling mill?) and Mum stayed at home with us children.

Chaenomeles japonica
quince, we call them 'kvitten' here.
Found two small bushes left in a hedge outside our house, they have sadly been removed - I can't understand why?
They have lovely 'salmon-scarlet-red' flowers and now in autumn yellow fruits, very suitable to jelly or marmalade.

Raija
is a Lapponian Herder or Reindeer Dog (Lapsk vallhund/Lapin porokoira) I met at my woodwork yesterday.
She is a calm, shy girl, nice to become acquainted with. Here is another picture.

I found this in a shelf behind some books...
It's made by one of my talented sisters-in-law.
I've had it for TEN YEARS and haven't framed it yet! Shame on me!
Now it shall be done; we redecorated the kitchen in May and I think it will fit well there now.
