My husband got these glasses
...from Keith Moon, drummer in The Who, when they where in Örebro June 5th 1966!
I think they are rather cool.

WOW! Hillary is so generous to us faithful readers! She shows us all her Japanese craft books and their ISBN:s. She also links to yesasia.com where we can buy the books cheaper than at Kitty's.
Sign up for back-tack.
I like this kind of swap, "a craft-come-sewing swap with a twist", but right now I don't have the time to participate.

Waiting...
They are waiting for their next Pope.
The monk is a bottle (5SEK - found in thrift store of course!), maybe for some Benedictine?
Here is a suitable cabinet.
We've got tickets! May 28th we're going to Stockholms Stadsteater for "Jag är min egen fru" (I Am My Own Wife), the play about Charlotte von Mahlsdorf (1928-2002), the Berliner Transvestite who moved to Porla, 50 km south of Örebro.

Knitting Sunday
I have a few old post cards with beautiful ladies, just like this one.
It's a name day-congratulation from "Maria to Anna" Dec 9, 1903.
My husband found a nice site to me, Vintage Images with lot's of old pictures.
More vintage cards (via Plep)

I want one, too. (via craftmonkeys)

Today I'm going with my Craft Group to Anne-Maj Ling, a knitting expert living just a little bit outside Örebro. She is going to teach us Two-End Knitting (Twined knitting). Here is her Swedish site and here is her book in English.

A Red Ring
I think it's very nice. It's like the rings at The Carrot Box.
I've bought the ring at Bra & Begagnat (well & used). It's my favorite thrift shop run by elderly people of Evangelical Free-Church here in Örebro.
Yes! More hand bags! (via Karin's Style Blog)
Maybe I'll have a Kelly Bag? (via anh-minh)
Or this little bag? (via Boing Boing)
Karin's, by the way, I found at Camilla's.
Everytime I see or hear about Johnny Cash my thoughts goes to my beloved young teacher I had in 6th grade (I was twelwe). He had lived in USA and there got three obsessions he shared with us: Johnny Cash, basketball and LIFE, the magazine. He played the music to us and learned us to do collages with clippings from LIFE. And our physical training was, of course, basket.
Found Johnny again (4/13).

I'll try to write in english for a while
My husband needed some wood for his electric guitar buildings so we went to Bohmans in Oskarshamn today. It's 280 km away from Örebro on the southeast coast. Neither of us have been there before and it turned out to be a nice little town.
It even had a Finnish Honorary Consulate!
Very big mahogany log.
Figurehead for the Happy Journey.
Early dandelion.
Photopracticing on an interesting old back-yard house.
Look! It's from Örebro!
From the Book-sale. At last I have Joanna Copestick: "The Family Home" - "Familjens inredningsbok".
A parcel to husband (you must love stamps over there!) was waiting at home, wood from USA.
Tomorrow I'm going with my workmates to Stockholm for some shopping. (But i'm going without my camera!)

(via Anna)
Kolla in figurerna hos Donna Wilson. (via art for housewives)
